Selena Gomez raps Nicki Minaj's "Super Bass" (Video)

(CBS) Before her appearance at Sunday's MTV Video Music Awards, Selena Gomez sat down for an interview with a Canadian TV show - and ended up showing off her rapping skills.

The actress-singer had the "New Music Live" audience join her in reciting the first verse of Nicki Minaj's hit "Super Bass." 

This isn't the first time the 19-year-old has shown her affinity for the song. Earlier this year, she lip-synched the song in a video posted on her YouTube page. And fellow singer Taylor Swift recited a few lines from "Super Bass" while appearing on a radio show back in February.
