SCRAM Bracelet: Lindsay Lohan's Newest Court Ordered Fashion Statement
NEW YORK (CBS/AP) Oops... she's wearing it again. No, folks,we're not talking Britney, more like LiLo.
Actress Lindsay Lohan just had her day in court and the 23-year-old, once again, is the proud owner of a new, court-ordered SCRAM ankle bracelet.
What's a "SCRAM," you ask?
It's sure not a trinket to promote any upcoming projects the star has. Simply put, it's "Secure Continuous Remote Alcohol Monitoring" or an alcohol monitoring device, like the one Lohan wore after her arrest on a DUI charge in 2007.
The actress has been on probation since August 2007 after pleading guilty to misdemeanor drug charges and no contest to three driving charges.
A judge ordered her to wear one today after her appearance in a Los Angeles courtroom over a missed probation hearing. You might recall she claimed she was stuck in Cannes after her passport was stolen last week.
The judge set a probation violation hearing for July 6 to address Lohan's failure to appear in court last week for a scheduled progress report on the probation stemming from the two high-profile arrests.
Well, if the wrist fits.
