Social media startup TeamPages has picked up a second round of funding. Return backer Burda Digital Ventures led the round, with participation from W Media Ventures and a group of private investors.
The amount was not disclosed, but the company said it will use the funds to add more features to its online community-building software. TeamPages focuses on high school and teen sports leagues, giving parents, coaches and student athletes a platform to keep in touch, post scores, and otherwise stay organized. The Victoria, B.C.-based company says it works with more than 10,000 teams across North America, including intramural programs at the University of Oregon, and the Manhattan Beach Little League.
