The CBS legal drama's writers tweeted the news on Tuesday, adding that she'll appear on episode 222 of the show. (They're likely referring to the 22nd episode of the second season.)

Silverman, 40, will play Stephanie, the owner of a controversial website devoted to connecting married people who are looking to have affairs, the New York Post reports. The character will end up in court, with Julianna Margulies as her defense attorney, after a distraught wife claims that the site led to her husband's death.

Silverman previously starred in her own Comedy Central show, and has made guest appearances on other TV shows, including "Monk" and "Entourage."
