Potential Republican presidential candidate Sarah Palin will meet this evening with real estate mogul Donald Trump, who earlier this year flirted with a presidential campaign, according to a Trump adviser.

The two plan to go out to dinner and meet at Trump's "primary residency" at Trump Tower in New York City. Trump's wife Melania Knauss-Trump will be present at dinner.

"The governor's office reached out to Mr. Trump, they are friends and they've often spoken about when the governor would be in town to get together for a meeting and a dinner, and the governor's obviously in town," Trump attorney and adviser Michael Cohen told CBS News.

Cohen could not say what Palin and Trump planned to discuss, and said Trump was not planning on making a public statement about the meeting. The former Alaska governor is currently in the middle of a bus tour that stops in New York City this evening.
