Saddam's Deputy Addresses Obama In New Statement

(LF Izzet Ibrahim Al Douri)
The fugitive Baathist leader used rather soft rhetoric to ask president Obama to stick to his position on Iraq. "We say to this administration, and specifically to its president, Mr. Barak Obama, the president of the most powerful country in the world, the president of the most advanced and the civilized country in the world, the country that preaches freedom, democracy and human rights. We tell him that he has to honor the promise that he made to the American people, and to his conscience in order to raise himself to the highest levels in history."
Al Douri also praised the Iraqi armed of forces and the "steadfast and patriotic jihadi resistance." He congratulated them on "their victory " which he said was so close now with the American forces preparing to withdraw within months from now. "The collapse of the current American administration, militarily, economically and politically, and the advent of a new administration the way you saw it, is a natural result for the heroic defiance showcased by Iraqi people, its armed forces and honorable resistance."
In a weak monotonous breathy voice, he called on all jihadi factions to join forces, on tribes' militias to repent and on Baathists in exile to return immediately to Iraq and prepare for the final victory.
Al Douri paid tribute to "martyr Saddam Hussein" on several occasions in his speech. He also spoke about the current situation in Gaza. "The barbaric aggression against our people in Gaza is a natural result of the absence of Iraq," al Doury said, adding that "if Iraq and its president martyr Saddam Hussein had still been present in the nation today, Israel would never have dared launch its aggression on our people in Gaza."
