Ryan Lochte to guest star on "90210"
(CBS News) Olympic gold medalist Ryan Lochte is going to test out his acting chops.
The 28-year-old swimmer will play himself in an upcoming episode of the CW's "90210."
Lochte will make a cameo as a guest at a hotel that Naomi (AnnaLynne McCord) and Max (Josh Zuckerman) stay at to make their relationship stronger, Entertainment Weekly reports.
"Team USA are all-stars in our book, and we're so excited he's making an appearance on the show. We only wish the episode was a surf event so we could have gotten him in the water, but he deserves a little rest on dry land," executive producers Patti Carr and Lara Olsen said in a statement, according to EW.
"90210" returns to the CW network on Oct. 8. Lochte's acting debut will air on Oct. 29.
