Report: Man with knife shot by police in Atlanta

ATLANTA - A person armed with a knife who was involved in an alleged dispute with a Georgia State University police officer was shot by another police officer in Atlanta Wednesday, authorities say, according to CBS Atlanta.

The shooting took place outside the Georgia State University police station, reports the station.

The person with the knife was shot by a police officer after not following the officer's instructions, police say.

The person shot was reportedly taken to a hospital in an ambulance.
