Records on U.K. Scientist's Death Sealed until 2073

In 2003, British nuclear scientist and U.N. weapons inspector David Kelly was found dead days after he accused the British government of ginning up evidence of Iraqi nuclear weapons in the lead-up to the Iraq war.

Now the government has ruled that medical records that could shed light on the case will remain under seal until 2073, London's Daily Mail reported Monday.

Lord Hutton, who led the government investigation that controversially ruled Kelly's death a suicide in 2004, ordered the post-mortem records sealed at the end of the inquiry. But the restrictions only came to light in a letter Sunday to a group of doctors challenging the verdict on Kelly's death.
