Read the Entire New York Times on Your iPad -- Free
This isn't so much a hack as it is a piece of good news: You can now read the full New York Times on your iPad, and it won't cost you a dime (yet).
The previous version of the NYTimes app was widely regarded as one of the iPad's best newspaper readers, but it didn't give you the whole paper, just a smattering of "editors' choice" stories.
The new version provides access to all sections, along with a handful of blogs. Other changes include photo slideshows embedded within articles, breaking-news alerts, and various improvements to design and navigation.
I'm a big fan of reading newspapers on my iPad, though my preferred app for it is PressReader. It provides access to over 1,500 papers worldwide, and gives you page-by-page scans of each. On the other hand, you have to pay for it. The NYTimes app is free -- at least until early 2011, at which time you can expect some kind of subscription requirement.
