Read Bulk Mail via RSS
A lot of the mail we get cluttering up our inboxes is stuff we don't need to reply to, like company-wide memos, daily recipes or jokes, etc. It's not that this stuff is unimportant or spammy (though much of it is), it's just that it's hard to figure out what you really need to deal with when you've got all of this other stuff lying around.
So figure out what mailing lists you're currently on, and have them filtered to a MailBucket.org address that allows you to check them out with your RSS reader instead. (You should already have one of those.) The whole process is a two minute ordeal. In the future, when you sign up for a mailing list, don't even bother giving out your real address; just sign up with a MailBucket address in the first place (via Lifehacker).
