Rapper Waka Flocka Flame off hook on drug charges, says report
(CBS/AP) McDONOUGH, Ga. - A grand jury has reportedly cleared rapper Waka Flocka Flame of all drug charges stemming from a raid on his Georgia home late last year due to a lack of evidence.
Atlanta police went to the rapper's home on Dec. 16, 2010, according to TMZ, and after confiscating a number of illegal items, issued an arrest warrant for him.
The rapper, whose real name is Juaquin Malphurs, faced charges of possessing marijuana and a controlled substance, possession of a firearm by a convicted felon and possessing a firearm during a crime.
The rapper was also charged with breaking the state's anti-gang laws and violating probation for driving on a suspended license. The non-drug charges were dropped before the case went before the grand jury, according to TMZ.
He was on probation for a charge of possession of a sawed-off shotgun.
