Randy and Evi Quaid Up to Their Old Tricks? Sued Again For Skipping Out on Hotel Tab

Mug Shot: Evi and Randy Quaid (Presidio County Sheriff's Dept.) Presidio County Sheriff Dept

MARFA, Texas (CBS)  Randy and Evi Quaid seem to have another chapter for a potential book, "Hotels We Will Never Stay in Again!" The Cibolo Creek Ranch accuses the actor and his wife of running out on their tab, but this time around the Quaids have countersued, alleging the hotel invaded their privacy, reports RadarOnline.com

The couple, who settled a disputed California hotel bill in April, with Evi reportedly given probation and community service, this time are being sued by the Texas ranch after they racked up a bill of $24,859.07. That sum is said to include "a room rate going from $278 to $428 a night," and other extraneous items such as "$5.99 for bacon for dog" and "$32 for 4 pounds of turkey for puppy," according to the gossip site.

However, Randy and Evi have countersued and claim the ranch unethically used actor Randy's name on their website to attract business to the hotel.

Evi says she fully intended to pay Cibolo Creek, but there was a banking error. She claims only $3,000 was sent to the hotel and has submitted a copy of her bank withdrawal slip for $30,000 to cover the tab and employee tips as evidence in their suit, says RadarOnline.com.

Indeed, the Quaids believe they have now overpaid for their stay.

Evi Quaid's suit says the couple will "agree not to counter sue for the missing gratuity money and the illegal use of my husband's name [Randy Quaid]...if he [owner of Cibolo Creek Ranch] agrees to send to us a monthly bill in the amount he believes to be outstanding along with accruing interest ..."

So maybe there's some room for compromise.

But then again, there's more to this story...and it involves a couple of long-necked mammals distinguished by their humps.

In Evi Quaid's complaint, she documents a scenario that involves her, an 18-wheel Fedex truck, and two camels. She explains that she saved the lives of the animals from the speeding Fedex truck while one of the ranch employees just watched and laughed, reports RadarOnline.com

It's hard to know just what this camel calamity has to do with the dueling lawsuits, but stay tuned for more of Randy and Evi's excellent adventures.
