Rand Paul Supporter Tim Profitt Charged After Woman's Head Stepped on
LOUISVILLE (CBS/WLKY) Tim Profitt, a central Kentucky man who police said was videotaped stepping on a woman's head outside of a U.S. Senate debate on Monday night, has been charged with misdemeanor assault.
Profitt and other Rand Paul supporters were filmed restraining a woman attempting to give the Republican candidate a mock award, according to CBS affiliate WLKY.
Profitt is set to go before a judge in Lexington next month on a fourth-degree assault charge.
The Paul campaign dropped 53-year-old Profitt as a coordinator in Bourbon County after the incident, WLKY reports.
