Rams WR Bruce Out For Season
Isaac Bruce, suffering from a lingering hamstring injury, will miss the rest of the St. Louis Rams' season.
The Rams have placed the star wide receiver on the injured reserve list, meaning he cannot play in the three remaining games.
"With three weeks to go, it didn't look like we could predict when he would be ready to play," coach Dick Vermeil said. "With that in mind, we asked what he thought about putting him on injured reserve."

Vermeil said Bruce agreed to the move.
"I wouldn't have put him on IR if he didn't want to go on IR," Vermeil said. "I think it works out best for him."
Bruce had a fast start to the season with 21 catches the first two games but now is third on the team with 32 catches, a 14.3-yard average and one touchdown. He has missed the last six games and sat out most of three others earlier in the season.
Bruce, who has spent his entire career with the Rams after being a second-round pick in 1994, is the eighth Rams player this year to be placed on injured reserve -- a high for the franchise since moving to St. Louis in 1995.
