(CBS) - Hollywood director-writer Quentin Tarantino has had enough of his neighbor's exotic birds and their "blood-curdling screams," so much so that he is taking him to court over it, reports TMZ.

Tarantino filed a lawsuit Friday in L.A. County Superior Court against his also famous neighbor Alan Ball, a screenwriter who wrote the Academy Award winning film American Beauty and created the HBO hit True Blood. Tarantino is claiming that ever since Ball set up an "exotic bird menagerie" he has had to deal with the macaw birds' "obnoxious pterodactyl-like screams," reports the site.

Ball may not be bothered, but Tarantino is claiming the racket is affecting his ability to focus on his job. In the court documents Tarantino says the noise has "seriously disrupted [his] ability to work as a writer in his home."

Tarantino says he tried to resolve the issue directly with Ball, but that hasn't given Tarantino the results he is looking for. Tarantino states Ball has "done little to eliminate the macaws' daily cacophony," forcing writer/director to take legal action.

This is one lawsuit that seems to be better written than most.
