"Project Runway All Stars" eliminates first designer
(CBS) "Project Runway" returned for a 10th season Thursday night, and this year the show has an entirely new look and fit.
It's all about the "All Stars" with the return of 13 of the most memorable designers from over the years.
With the new season come a few new faces. Say goodbye to Heidi Klum, Michael Kors and Tim Gunn -- model Angela Lindvall is now the host, and the judging panel features designers Isaac Mizrahi and Georgina Chapman. Marie Claire magazine Editor-in-Chief Joanna Coles serves as a mentor.
The grand prize? A boutique in Neiman Marcus stores, a fashion feature in Marie Claire and a guest editor position for one year. There's also other swag and cash prizes for the winning designer.
For the premiere, the contestants had to produce a design after being given $100 to spend at a .99 Cents store -- not the easiest task.
Season four runner-up Rami Kashou did well with an outfit made of laundry bags, but Elisa Jimenez's color creation failed to impress, which means she's already out of the competition. That leaves Kashou, along with Mila Hermanovski, Jerell Scott, Michael Costello, Mondo Guerra, Austin Scarlett, Sweet P, Anthony Williams, Kenley Collins, April Johnston, Gordana Gehlhausen and Kara Janx.
"Project Runway: All Stars" airs Thursdays at 9 p.m. ET on Lifetime.
