President Obama's Schedule Today (9/30/10)
In the morning, President Obama and Vice President Biden will receive the Economic Daily Briefing in the Oval Office. The president will then receive the Presidential Daily Briefing in the Oval Office. Later, Mr. Obama will meet with Secretary of the Treasury Tim Geithner in the Oval Office.
In the afternoon, the president will meet with Democratic congressional leadership in the Oval Office. Expected attendees include:
- House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-Calif.)
- Sen. Harry Reid (D-Nev.), Majority Leader
- Sen. Dick Durbin (D-Ill.), Majority Whip
- Sen. Chuck Schumer (D-N.Y.), Vice Chairman of the Conference
- Sen. Patty Murray (D-Wash), Secretary of the Conference
- Rep. Steny Hoyer (D-Md.), Majority Leader
- Rep. James Clyburn (D-S.C.), Majority Whip
- Rep. Chris Van Hollen (D-Md.), Assistant to the Speaker
Later in the afternoon, the president will meet with senior advisers in the Oval Office.
In the evening, Mr. Obama will attend a DNC dinner at a private residence in Washington. Later, he will attend a DNC Gen44 event at DAR Constitution Hall.
