President Obama's Schedule Today (1/14/10)

In the morning, President Obama and Vice President Biden will receive the Presidential Daily Briefing in the Oval Office.

In the morning, Mr. Obama is also scheduled to make a statement on the earthquake in Haiti and to meet separately with senior advisers and Secretary of Veterans Affairs Shinseki.

Later, the president will deliver brief remarks on the financial crisis responsibility fee in the Diplomatic Reception Room. The president and the vice president will then have lunch in the Private Dining Room.

In the afternoon, Mr. Obama will deliver remarks at the opening session of the Forum on Modernizing Government in the South Court Auditorium in the Eisenhower Executive Office Building. Following the opening session, senior administration officials will host discussions on the technology gap between the public and private sectors, and what government can do to bridge that gap.

Mr. Obama will then receive the Economic Daily Briefing and meet with Secretary of the Treasury Geithner in the Oval Office. In the evening, he will deliver remarks at the House Democratic Caucus retreat at the Capitol Visitors Center.
