Carrie Brownstein and Fred Armisen of "Portlandia" IFC

(CBS) The new highly-anticipated season of "Portlandia" airs tonight with Fred Armisen and Carrie Brownstein bringing back their beloved portrayals of the various characters that inhabit the Pacific Northwest city, coining a new phrase, "We can pickle that!"

"Portlandia" season two episode available online

In the season two premiere Armisen and Brownstein continue depicting "Portlandia" staples including, the feminist bookstore owners, Toni and Candice, and the overly socially conscious couple, Kath and Dave, along with introducing some new characters.

Some of those characters include artisan curators Lisa and Bryce, who come to realize that they can pickle just about everything - introducing a new catch phrase which may replace the "Put a Bird on It" of last season.

Season two premieres on IFC tonight at 10 p.m.
