(CBS) NEW CASTLE, Pa. - New Castle police say they found crack cocaine in a toddler's jacket pocket Tuesday, as they raided an apartment where the child was being watched by a babysitter and her boyfriend.

CBS Pittsburgh reports authorities arrested 32-year-old Latonnia Lyles and her boyfriend, 19-year-old Rayjzon Sams. Both face drug charges.

Police say they found drugs in the 2-year-old boy's pocket as Lyles was handing him over to another woman outside the apartment.

"In the pocket, we found several little baggies of crack cocaine and pills," Lawrence County District Attorney Joshua Lamancusa said. "A total of 49 individually-wrapped bags of crack cocaine, we found a small amount of pills, approximately $1,000 in cash and then we found around a pound of marijuana scattered throughout the house."

"The officers were very agitated at the scene because there was some information that at the time of the arrest, that those drugs were placed into the pocket of the child and then the child was being escorted out,," the D.A. added

The boy was turned over to Lawrence County Child Youth Services. According to the district attorney, this is the second time drugs were found in the apartment, CBS Pittsburgh reported.

Lyles and Sams are in the county jail on $100,000 bond each.
