Police: San Antonio teen killed father with machete
SAN ANTONIO -- Police say a 17-year-old boy confessed to killing his father Saturday with a machete, reports CBS affiliate KENS.
Victor Briones' body was found in his backyard. Briones' landlord made the discovery Saturday, according to police.
Investigators said they found evidence indicating Briones' body was dragged outside. The victim had slash marks on his face and a machete was found nearby, according to police.
The victim's son allegedly admitted to the killing. He was charged with murder, but police have not commented on why the teen allegedly slashed his father.
Neighbor John Fernandez told KENS the boy seemed to be a normal kid who liked to skateboard. Fernandez said Victor Briones was a good father to his son.
"Unfortunately, we lost a real good man in our life. We're going to miss him. We're going to miss him a lot," said Fernandez. "The guy would do anything for you."
