Police pull over about 40 people on party bus at gunpoint in Malibu

(CBS/KCBS) MALIBU - Police in Malibu pulled over about 40 people on a party bus at gunpoint over the weekend after two passengers allegedly vandalized a car with two women inside of it, CBS Los Angeles reports.

The incident reportedly occurred just after midnight Saturday near the Malibu Pier.

Police say a fight broke out between two men boarding the party bus and two women in a parked car, according to the station. One of the women called 911 to complain that two suspects damaged her car with a bottle and the butt of a handgun.

"They said one of the suspects threw something at their window and shattered the front window," said Lt. Robert Wiard of the Malibu/ Lost Hill's Sheriff's Department.

The party bus reportedly drove away but the women followed, and police eventually caught up to it near the 710 freeway and Olympic Boulevard.

Deandra Johnson, 24, and Keith Avery, 23, were arrested and booked on assault with a deadly weapon, criminal threats and vandalism.
