Police: Man sought after woman's body found in trunk
PALM BAY, Fla. --Police in Brevard County are investigating a suspicious death after the body of a woman was found in the trunk of a car Tuesday morning, reports CBS affiliate WKMG.
Police say the woman was found after a business owner contacted police before 7 a.m. Tuesday. Officials say they are searching for a man who was last seen on surveillance video walking away from the vehicle at 5 p.m. Monday.
The car is described as a silver four-door vehicle, according to the station.
"Well obviously it's somebody we want to talk to," Sgt. Michael Pusatere of the Palm Bay Police Department told WKMG. "We don't know the circumstances around her death. Obviously, it did not occur there, so we're not sure if the person who dropped off the car is the same person who would have been responsible for her death."
The body is reportedly identified as a white woman in her early to mid-20s. Investigators, along with bloodhounds, are combing the scene searching for clues, police said in a press release.
It was not immediately clear how long the body had been in the trunk.
