Police: Gangs behind Michigan roller-skating rink shooting

Unknown, Robert German, Cheyenne Ingram. CBS Detroit

(CBS/WWJ) WATERFORD - Police say gang activity was behind last month's shooting at a roller-skating rink 25 miles outside of Detroit that sent five people to the hospital.

According to CBS Detroit, Waterford Township police say a conflict between two rival gangs, known as the "Goon Squad" and "First Enfantry," sparked the shooting.

Police reportedly identified Cheyenne Ingram, 17, and Robert Lee German, 18, as suspects. The Detroit Free Press reports that a warrant has been issued for their arrest and police are still looking for an unidentified third person.

One of the shooting victims was an intended target and rival to the shooters, police say.

Police have asked anyone with information to contact Waterford Police by phone at (248) 674-COPS (2677) or by e-mail: policetips@twp.waterford.mi.us.
