Pilot Grounded for Taking Racy Cell Phone Photos at the Airport
PHILADELPHIA, Pa. (CBS/AP) An airline pilot who used his cell phone to take photos up a teenager's skirt at Philadelphia International airport has pleaded guilty to invasion of privacy.
Authorities say US Airways pilot Joseph Pereira used his cell phone to take photos under the skirt of a 15-year-old girl on June 24.
Pereira was sentenced Tuesday in Philadelphia Family Court to one year of probation. He will be evaluated for a sex offender treatment program.
US Airways spokesman Morgan Durrant says the 55-year-old pilot from Wexford, Pa., is suspended.
Pereira earlier resigned as a girls softball coach at North Allegheny High School, near Pittsburgh. School officials said there have been no complaints about Pereira in 13 years of coaching.
