Phyllis Diller's death: Celebrities react on Twitter

(CBS/AP) The news of comedienne Phyllis Diller's death has caused an outpouring from celebrities mourning the 1950s television and nightclub staple.

Diller died Monday morning in her Los Angeles home at the age of 95.

"She died peacefully in her sleep with a smile on her face," her longtime manager, Milton Suchin, told The Associated Press.

Diller, whose stand-up act was built around the persona of the corner-cutting housewife, was highly regarded in Hollywood for paving the way for female stand-up comics.

Many of her peers have taken to Twitter to express their sentiments.
