Pete Rose eyed for new TLC reality TV show
(CBS/AP) NEW YORK - Slugger Pete Rose may be the next star of a reality TV show.
The TLC cable network is pitching him plans for a unscripted - and untitled - series that will follow baseball's all-time hitting leader and his fiancee, model Kiana Kim, as they plan their wedding.
The network announced Wednesday that TLC has ordered five episodes to air late this year.
The 71-year-old Rose agreed to a lifetime ban from baseball in 1989 after an investigation concluded he bet on games when he was the manager for the Cincinnati Reds. The ban has left him ineligible for induction into the Hall of Fame. He leads baseball with 4,256 career hits.
One of the most controversial figures in sports, Rose now lives and works in Las Vegas and has been involved in several WWE projects since leaving baseball.
