The 1995 O.J. Simpson trial captivated the nation, and the verdict had Americans torn on whether or not the former football star was guilty of murdering his ex-wife Nicole Brown Simpson and her friend, Ron Lyle Goldman, who were both found dead in Los Angeles the night of June 12, 1994.

Many people remember where they were when the verdict was read, and that includes the cast members of the hit show "The People v O.J. Simpson." The FX show has brought the trial back into the limelight.

Jordana Brewster, who plays Denise Brown, the sister of Nicole Brown Simpson, told CBS News, "I remember being in high school and when that verdict was coming out, they stopped everything and wheeled the TV out. I was flabbergasted by it."

Courtney B. Vance, who plays defense attorney Johnnie Cochran, told E! News he was with "Scandal" actor Tony Goldwyn.

"Tony and I were in his apartment watching the verdict and it came down and I screamed 'Yes!' and he screamed 'No!'" Vance said. "We looked at each other in horror and started talking about where we both were and why we felt that way."

Cuba Gooding Jr., who plays Simpson, said he also cheered when he heard the verdict, telling E! that he felt that "It could've been me," referring to the Rodney King verdict and his role in "Boyz in the Hood." Gooding Jr. added, though, that processing the verdict since then has been an "emotional roller coaster."

The FX miniseries' finale aired Tuesday night.
