People 's Hottest Bachelor: Chace Crawford

This just in: People Magazine thinks "Gossip Girl" star Chace Crawford is 2009's hottest bachelor.

People staff writer Danielle Dubin joined Early Show co-anchors Maggie Rodriguez, Harry Smith, Chris Wragge and weather anchor and features reporter Dave Price to talk about some high-profile single men on the list who haven't been hitched yet. The magazine Web site lists Chace Crawford as its top choice.

Dubin pointed out on The Early Show that the "very young, very eligible" Crawford from "Gossip Girl, who is on the People cover, will star in the upcoming remake of "Footloose," following in good "Kevin Bacon dancing shoes."

Joking that the job of compiling the list - looking at a lot of very handsome guys - is a hard one, Dubin says each one named has to meet certain criteria, which includes being available and at the top of his game professionally.

Smith showed a computer-generated magazine cover with a picture of a Price's head on top of a shirtless and muscular body. Smith joked that it was found in the archives.

"Talk about burying the lead!" Rodriguez added.

"That is just wrong! Someone in our graphics department has too much time on their hands. It does look like me, though. I was in in 2003." Price joked. "I kid you not. I got a great deal of prison mail after that, I'll have you know."

"And that's why you're still single," Rodriguez joked.

"We have a lot of equally buff chests in there," Dubin said. "We have a poll of the best, most muscular guys, young bachelors that include Zac Efron."

Other hot bachelors that made the list are:

  • Adrian Grenier, 32, of "Entourage"
  • Kevin Connolly, 35, of "Entourage"
  • Jerry Ferrara, 29, of "Entourage"
  • George Clooney, 48 (also the oldest man to make the list)
  • Bradley Cooper, 34, of "The Hangover"
  • Zac Efron, 21
