Pelosi, Boehner Name Members Of Office Of Congressional Ethics

Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-Calif.) and House Minority Leader John Boehner (R-Ohio) have released their list of board members for the new Office of Congressional Ethics. The list of eight board members includes six former members of Congress.

Former Rep. David Skaggs (D-Colo.) will serve as OCE chairman, while former Rep. Porter Goss (R-Fla.), who also served as CIA director, will be the co-chairman.

“The new Office of Congressional Ethics is essential to an effective ethics process in the House,” said Pelosi in a statement released by here office. “This bipartisan board of outside experts who will be charged with reviewing allegations of misconduct and making recommendations to the House Ethics Committee. With the creation of the Office of Congressional Ethics, we bring a new element of transparency and accountability to the ethics process.”

Here's the full list of six board members, plus two alternates:

*Former Congressman David Skaggs, D-Colo., Chairman

* Former CIA Director and former Congressman Porter Goss, R-Fla., Co-chairman 

* Former Congresswoman Yvonne Brathwaite Burke, D-Calif.

* Former House Chief Administrative officer Jay Eagen 

* Former Congresswoman Karan English, D-Ariz.

* Former chief of staff to Bradley Smith of Federal Election Commission, Allison Hayward

* Former Federal Judge and former Congressman Abner Mikva, D-Ill., Alternate

* Former Congressman Bill Frenzel, R-Minn., Alternate
