Pay Your Taxes via Text Message

irsgov.jpgNot looking forward to the Ides of April? A new startup called Sexat ("Taxes" backwards, get it?) has worked out a deal to let you SMS your 1099s and W2s directly to the IRS—no H&R Block schmoe needed. All you have to do is follow the simple guidelines on the IRS's website. Basically, you type in your annual income, a space, number of dependents, a space, and then your social security number and send it to 1(800) EASY-IRS. Sexat takes care of the rest! (If you're using a smart phone with a full keyboard, you can download Sexat's OMFG feature, which allows you to add in personalized deductions instead of relying on their generalized algorithm.)
