Paula Abdul calls 911 during fight with boyfriend
(CBS) A frantic 911 call made by Paula Abdul last month has surfaced.
The singer called authorities while driving with her boyfriend on Valentine's Day, and is heard on the audiotape repeatedly screaming "Drop me off!"
A copy of the audio was posted on TMZ.com Thursday. On the call, which was placed at 4:35 p.m., Abdul is heard crying and sobbing hysterically, saying, "I wanna go, and he won't let me!"
She's then heard saying "Are you gonna drop me off 'cause I have emergency on the phone" and shortly after adds "He's dropping me off."
According to TMZ, officers got in touch with Abdul about an hour later and she said the incident was just a verbal dispute.
A spokesperson for the singer and television personality told the website, "Arguments with loved ones are often times heated. After the call was made everything was worked out."
