(CBS News)  It happened this week . . . three developments in the world of art, broadly defined.

The Perez Art Museum of Miami opened Wednesday, just in time for the annual international art fair known as Art Basel - Miami Beach.

Designed to blend in with its waterfront location, the museum debuted with a full roster of exhibitions, including one entitled "According to What?" -- a survey of the work of dissident Chinese artist Ai Wei Wei.

Ford unveiled a brand new version of the Mustang on Thursday, ahead of the legendary car's 50th anniversary next year.

More than 9 million Mustangs have been sold over the years, many of them still on the road thanks to the tender loving care bestowed on them by devoted owners -- owners who consider the Mustang one of the finest examples of the auto designer's art.

And, finally, Pantone, the company that bills itself as THE global authority on color, this week decreed "Radiant Orchid" the Color of the Year for 2014, describing it as "a captivating, magical, enigmatic purple."

Which got us to wondering . . . what would the new Mustang look like with a "Radiant Orchid" paint job?
