Paris Jackson hospitalized after possible suicide attempt

Updated 4:21 p.m. ET

Paris Jackson has been hospitalized in Los Angeles after an apparent suicide attempt, her mother confirmed to "Entertainment Tonight."

The 15-year-old daughter of Michael Jackson was rushed to a hospital with cuts on her wrists early Wednesday morning, ET reports. Her mother, Debbie Rowe, said that Jackson has had "a lot going on [lately]."

The Los Angeles County Fire Department confirmed to ET that it received a 911 call for an overdose at 1:15 a.m. and one person was transported to a hospital.

Early Wednesday, Jackson tweeted these lyrics from the Beatles song "Yesterday":

Jackson and Rowe have rekindled their relationship over the past few months, according to People, and have spent time together at Rowe's horse ranch.

Her grandmother, Katherine Jackson, released the following statement to ET on Wednesday: "Being a sensitive 15-year-old is difficult no matter who you are. It is especially difficult when you lose the person closest to you. Paris is physically fine and is getting appropriate medical attention. Please respect her privacy and the family's privacy."

And Tito, Jackie and Marlon Jackson told ET Wednesday afternoon: "Thank you for the outpouring of concern and support for Paris. She is safe and doing fine. We truly appreciate you respecting our family's privacy at this time."
