Paris Hilton: A Down To Earth Heiress?

Paris Hilton is not so high maintenance as the public might think. According to Parade, the heiress is really "down to earth."

Starring in a romantic comedy, "The Hottie and The Nottie," which will be released in theaters on Feb. 21, Hilton was able to try her hand at acting again, but this time around she reached out for some help.

Hilton fessed up to Parade that she worked with an acting coach for her upcoming movie role. She also revealed that this was the first time she took acting "seriously" while making a movie.

The Hollywood socialite plays Cristabelle Abbott, a young beauty who Nate Cooper (played by Joel David Moore) has been madly in love with since his childhood.

In a quest to woo Cristabelle, Nate encounters June, her somewhat unattractive best friend. While trying to impress Cristabelle, Nate gets to know June and then develops feelings for her when he discovers her inner beauty.

When Parade asked Hilton -- what is better, being rich or famous? -- Hilton, who enjoys the best of both worlds, ironically strayed away from the fame and said money can't buy happiness.

"I think it would be better just to be rich, because then you don't have to deal with anything else," Hilton told Parade. "You can just have everything you want and not have to deal with the press and people following you. But being rich doesn't even matter, either. I have both, and it doesn't even make any difference. I could be happy if I had nothing. So it's not, it's not really about money to me."

Although Hilton isn't shy when it comes to posing for the camera, the constant in-your-face photography takes its toll after a while; however, she manages to keep sane in what many consider to be an insane situation.

"I handle it really well" Hilton told Parade. "I don't let that bother me or let the media or paparazzi take over my life. I try not to pay attention to things that are negative."

Hilton who always appears fresh-faced, fashionable yet fragile-looking, is stronger than many might think. For someone with a small frame, she can hold her own on the ice-hockey rink.

"I'm really good at ice hockey. I've been playing since 10th grade, and people don't know that I play defense in hockey," Hilton told Parade. "I like to check people, push people down. And I love fishing. I like to catch them, but I don't eat them. I just put them right back, because I feel bad for them."

Paris also dished to Parade of a possible appearance on "The L Word".

Her fans will have to wait and see, but in the meantime, they can get their Hilton fix on the big screen.
