paidContent - Socialware Raises $1.5 Million For Social Networking Tech

This story was written by Tameka Kee.

Stealthy social networking tech development firm Socialware has raised $1.5 million worth of a proposed $1.7 million round of funding, according to an SEC filing. The Austin-based startup initially raised $300,000 in June. Silverton Partners principal Morgan Flager is listed as one of the company’s board members.

Socialware is founded by BazaarVoice execs Chris Richter and Cameron Cooper; the startup has built an enterprise-facing social media management and analysis platform. Competitors with similar offerings include Networked Insights and Radian6 (though the latter is more a tool for ad agencies).
