(CBS) With the end of her talk show comes the end of her reign at the top of Forbes' "Celebrity 100" list. Oprah Winfrey has fallen a spot to second place as Lady Gaga takes the top position.

Actually, Winfrey's descent - and Gaga's rise - has little to do with the end of Winfrey's venerable talk show and more to do with Gaga's mastery of social media. According to Forbes, the $90 million Gaga earned in the past year is a big reason for her ascent but an even bigger reason is her "32 million Facebook fans and 10 million Twitter followers." Forbes credits Gaga's fans and followers for moving 1 million digital copies of "Born This Way" in five days.

According to Forbes, Winfrey's earning power is bigger - she earned $290 million last year - but social media is the way to get to the top. (Will Oprah ever be no. 1 again? Probably. She's lost the top spot before and regained it.)

Other names on the list are Justin Bieber, who comes in at no. 3. The 17-year-old is there mostly thanks to the power of the Interwebs, with 544 million views of his song "Baby" a contributing factor, reports Forbes.

Tiger Woods, who's still in the top 10 despite not winning a golf tournament in forever; Leonardo DiCaprio who made a big jump with a couple of hit movies; and Bethenny Frankel, the SkinnyGirl entrepreneur and reality show star, are also on the list this year.
