Officials: Gas explosion at Nyack College north of NYC

NYACK, N.Y. Emergency responders are on the scene of an explosion in the interior of a building at Nyack College, according to the Nyack Fire Department.

Fire officials say it appears to be a major gas explosion, reports WCBS in New York.. Video from the scene shows windows and doors that appear to have been blown out from the building and debris scattered around outside.

Multiple people were believe to have been trapped, but officials say everyone who was inside at the time of the blast has been accounted for.

Sources tell WCBS that seven people were injured, including one person who was thrown out of a window from the explosion.

No other information is known at this time.
