Of Regis, Yoga, And Pouty Lips

Both Regis Philbin and Whitney Houston made The Hib List this week, and Early Show Contributor Laurie Hibberd says it's because of Philbin's fashions and Houston's hits.

The power shirts and ties Philbin wears on Who Wants To Be A Millionaire? have become a fashion trend. He is taking his monochromatic shirts and ties to the stores with his own line.

Guess what it's going to be called?

"The Regis Collection! Of course! What do you want me to call it? The Hib List?" quips Philbin.

You'll be able to dress like Regis by the end of the month - just in time for Father's Day.

Whitney Houston is the first repeat honoree on The Hib List. She has had a lot of bad press over the past few months, but it hasn't kept her from releasing a new double CD.

Whitney: The Greatest Hits just hit the stores. One disk carries all her great love songs, while the other has re-mixes that haven't been released before.

If you buy the DVD version, you also can own all the pop diva's video, including her gut-wrenching rendition of The Star Spangled Banner.

This week's Hib List also includes three other items:
  • Bikram Yoga. It looks like a regular yoga class. But it takes place in a 100-plus-degree room. Why so hot?

Says instructor Donna Rubin, "Your body...when it's cold, it's not flexible. So you warm up your body, and then you can really stretch, like, all the muscles, all the ligaments, all the tendons will start to move. It's almost like they get liquid a little bit."

That's the theory, anyway. The class lasts about 90 minutes. Whatever you do, bring lots of water.

  • The Balm. If you're looking for a little something to plump up your lips, look no further than "The Balm." It comes in different flavors, but that ain't all. Put the balm on and, within minutes, you'll feel a tingling on your lips. The micro crystals will actually plump up your pucker for about three hours.
  • The Black Card, also known as the American Express Centurion Card. For just $1,000 a year, you can have a personal concierge and travel agent at your disposal; numerous upgrades, including one to the Concord when you buy a first-class British Airways ticket; and the prestige of being probably the only person you know who has one.
