Obama Interviews Diane Wood for Supreme Court

President Barack Obama and Vice President Joe Biden interviewed a fourth contender for the Supreme Court today, federal appeals court Judge Diane Wood, a source with knowledge of the conversation told CBS News Chief Legal Correspondent Jan Crawford.

Wood, a highly respected jurist on the Chicago-based appeals court, was on Obama's short list last year.

A White House source says the president is not necessarily done with the interviews.

The Chicago-based Wood is the fourth known candidate to have interviewed with Obama in recent days. The others are Solicitor General Elena Kagan and federal appeals court judges Merrick Garland and Sidney Thomas.

Wood also interviewed with Obama for a Supreme Court opening last year.
