Obama: Bush "Was Mailing It In" Last Night

KANSAS CITY, MISSOURI -- Barack Obama told a crowd of thousands that George Bush looked disengaged at the State of the Union last night.
"Even yesterday, I have to say, you all watched the State of the Union address," Obama said. "It was like he was mailing it in. He didn't even seem like he want to be there. Then [Gov.] Kathleen Sebelius [D-Kansas] came up and just sort of laid it out. "
Obama then chanted "No Bush, No Bush" as the crowd roared. Obama started the "No Bush" chant in Sumter, South Carolina last week on a campaign stop. The crowd was so receptive that this has become a frequent routine for him.
Obama made a brief campaign stop in Kansas City, Missouri this evening on his way out west. Missouri, which is a caucus state, has 88 delegates at stake on Super Tuesday, Feb. 5. Obama was introduced by Sebelius and Sen. Claire McCaskill, D-Missouri.
Obama went after George Bush several times during his stump, as well as Hillary Clinton. He mentioned Clinton's past criticism of his Social Security plan.
"That is the okey doke, that is what I am trying to explain," Obama said. "If you are proposing the same Social Security for hardworking Americans and then you are accused of trying to increase their taxes when they are paying the max on what they earn then that's the okey doke. You are being bamboozled, you are being hoodwinked."
Obama made a brief mention of Mitt Romney as well. "Everybody is talking about change, even Mitt Romney is talking about change," Obama said as the crowd booed.
He then used a portion of his stump to refute claims that he is a practicing Muslim and not a patriot.
"I've been going to the same church for the last twenty years and I'm praising Jesus in that church." Obama said, "When I open up the Senate, I pledge allegiance to the flag of the United States of America."
He then went on to recite the "Pledge of Allegiance" for the crowd, something that he has never done before.
