Obama Ads Target McCain In Florida, Michigan

Barack Obama's campaign is up with two new ads specifically targeting John McCain in Florida and Michigan. The first ad, airing in Tampa and West Palm Beach claims that McCain supports privatizing Social Security. "A broken economy, failing banks, unstable markets, families struggling," the ad begins. "To protect us in retirement, Social Security has never been more important. But John McCain's voted three times in favor of privatizing Social Security. McCain says, 'I campaigned in support of President Bush's proposal.' Cutting benefits in half, risking Social Security on the stock market. The Bush-McCain privatization plan. Can you really afford more of the same?" Watch it:

The second ad, to air in Michigan, plays off a Newsweek report that noted McCain's family owns a total of 13 cars. The ad begins with McCain saying, "I've bought American literally all my life." Announcer: "Oh Really? … Sounds like John McCain giving Michigan straight talk. But, John McCain owns thirteen vehicles----including three foreign cars---a foreign made Lexus, Volkswagen and Honda Sedan. McCain even refused to support loan guarantees for the auto industry. But now he's telling a different story. So don't believe John McCain when he says he'll help Michigan." Watch it:
