(CBS) NEW YORK - Five victims, including a toddler, are recovering from a stabbing rampage Tuesday at a park on Manhattan's Upper West Side, according to CBS New York.

43-year-old Julius Graham, who police say is homeless and emotionally disturbed, was taken into custody after he attacked five people with scissors at Riverside Park South in broad daylight.

The victims, who were all slashed, include 32-year-old Jessica Lipps, James Fayette, 34, and his 18-month-old son. Lipps and the toddler were reportedly treated and released. Fayette was listed in stable condition and remained hospitalized Wednesday with a wound to the chest.

The grandfather of the toddler told CBS New York on Wednesday that the boy is doing fine.

35-year-old Ben Loehnen was stabbed in the abdomen and 36-year-old Deanna Koestel was stabbed in the back while jogging. Both were listed in critical condition.

Graham was charged with five counts of assault and criminal possession of a weapon following the attack. As of Wednesday, he was still under evaluation at Bellevue Hospital, according to the station.
