NY mayor not gaga over New Year's kiss

(CBS/AP) NEW YORK - New York City Mayor Michael Bloomberg knows how to keep the peace at home.

When asked about his New Year's kiss with Lady Gaga Tuesday, the mayor, ever the diplomat, said the best kiss of the evening was the one he got later from longtime girlfriend Diana Taylor

The 69-year-old politician and the 25-year-old pop star locked lips shortly after leading a Times Square crowd in a final-minute countdown to midnight. They made quite a pair: He was in an old-fashioned American-flag sweater; she had her eyes hidden behind a sparkly mask.

But Bloomberg also had kind words for Gaga as he pointed out that she is "a young lady," about the same age as his daughter Georgina.
