No Stopping for Obama

(CBS)
From CBS News' Maria Gavrilovic:

AUSTIN, TEXAS -- Despite a surge in recent polls and a solid performance at last night's debate, Barack Obama is not stopping to relish in his success. At a post-debate fundraiser last night, Obama told supporters that his journey towards the presidency is far from over.

"We are on the brink of doing something special, Austin, Texas. But understand this, we cannot just stop and take satisfaction with how well we have done so far," Obama said.

"We've still got a lot of work to do only because this is a tough campaign and we've got to focus on getting out the vote all through out Texas."

Obama makes his first campaign stop in the Rio Grande Valley today, a heavily Hispanic region of the state. According to the campaign, Obama does not have a lot institutional support in the region but they hope to build on the recent endorsement of the Mayor of Edinburg, Joe Ochoa. Obama will talk to students about the high cost of college and a host a rally at the University of Texas-Pan American.

Obama heads to Ohio tomorrow.
