Police say Cage was arrested in the French Quarter after grabbing his wife's arm and pounding on cars during a drunk altercation. He was booked on charges of  domestic abuse, disturbing the peace and public drunkenness.

Cage's attorney said that the Orleans Parish district attorney's office refused the charges and will not prosecute the actor further.

A New Orleans district attorney spokesman said prosecutors determined "the conduct did not amount to criminal conduct."

Cage has since been freed on $11,000 bond put up by Duane Chapman, known as "Dog the Bounty Hunter" on TV.
