Nicki Minaj mourns cousin Nicholas Telemaque's murder

(CBS) - The cousin of female rapper Nicki Minaj was murdered near his home after leaving a New York City nightclub.

"Lived in Brooklyn his whole life. My precious cousin. My baby. Killed last nite," Nicki posted on Twitter, along with a picture of Nicholas Telemaque.

According to the New York Daily News, police said the 27-year-old was shot several times in the chest early Monday while walking toward his car after leaving C-PAC nightclub in Brooklyn. He died in the hospital.

Investigators said no arrests have been made in the case.

The New York paper reports that Telemaque had prior arrests for driving on a suspended license and possession of marijuana.

Minaj hasn't commented since tweeting about her cousin's death.
