New performers added to 2012 CMA Awards

Eli Young Band, Brantley Gilbert, Lady Antebellum and Blake Shelton are the latest acts added to the Country Music Association Awards performance bill.

Gilbert earned his first CMA nod this year in the new artist of the year category. He will also make his first CMA Awards performance. Lady Antebellum, meanwhile, is in the running for vocal group of the year and album of the year, while Shelton is up for song of the year, entertainer of the year, male vocalist of the year and single of the year. Eli Young band is nominated for vocal group of the year.

They join an already star-studded list of performers that includes Jason Aldean, Dierks Bentley, Luke Bryan, Kenny Chesney, Eric Church, Kelly Clarkson, Miranda Lambert, Little Big Town, Paisley, The Band Perry, Carrie Underwood and Zac Brown Band.

Eric Church tops the 46th annual CMA nominations with five nods. The "Springsteen" singer is followed closely by Miranda Lambert and Blake Shelton, who have four nods apiece.

Underwood and Brad Paisley will host the Nov. 1 awards ahow, which will air live on ABC from the Bridgestone Arena in Nashville, Tenn.
