Neil Patrick Harris spars with Hugh Jackman
(CBS) Neil Patrick Harris spared no one in his return for a second stint as host of the annual Tony Awards Sunday night in New York.
Among the targets of the "How I Met Your Mother" star's humor were Daniel Radcliffe, Brooke Shields, Angela Lansbury, Al Pacino, Bono and The Edge.

Harris kicked off the awards show at New York's Beacon Theater with a song-and-dance number about how "the Tonys are not just for gays anymore." It involved Stephen Colbert, Brooke Shields, Bobby Cannavale and bunch of bleeps.
He also engaged in a Tony host face off with actor Hugh Jackman, who has hosted previous ceremonies. They started off by bantering on what it takes to be a show host, then launched into an "Anything You Can Do I Can Do Better" song-and-dance number. They riffed on everything from pacing to keeping the show on time to improving gift bags.
Harris promised not to do too many "Spider-Man" jokes, but the several he did cut deep. "I sent Bono" - who composed the show's music with U2 bandmate the Edge - "a congratulatory cable, but it snapped," and "[ousted "Spider-Man" director] Julie Taymor found out it was over when she woke up with the head of 'War Horse' in her bed."
And the finale? Neil Patrick Harris rapped as the credits rolled.
